Llamas from Dawn of Promise in Eric Hicks video on CBS website

The llamas of Dawn of Promise make a cameo appearance in a new video on the CBS website that was created by our friend and fellow songwriter Eric Hicks.

Eric submitted an essay that won him a Flip video camera from CBS News. His challenge was to create a video that represents something about his community during the first 100 days of the new administration in Washington.

Eric built his video around the theme in one of his newer tunes, Eeyore the Troubadour ("world full of hugs and kisses; if a bullet gets fired, I hope it always misses"). His video filming, editing and songwriting genius come together in this short clip. Of course, we think it is extra special since several of our friends are featured in the clips, and the llamas.

When Eric stopped out at Dawn of Promise Farm last Thursday he asked if he could capture a short clip or two of me and Scott. We collectively decided it would be fun if we did the filming in the llama pen. While Scott was giving me a kiss, our sweet llama, SVL Llovely Llana, reached in and planted a kiss on my other cheek! It couldn't have been more perfect - at least in our eyes. We hope you enjoy it!

Check out the link (scroll down to lower left corner of cbsnews page in this link and look for the video, "I Want to Live in a World Where . . ."). Eric mentioned that he will also be posting the video on youtube but it is not out there yet. If you'd like to hear the song in its entirety, you can find it at Eric's site on Reverbnation.
